Arctic Entries - Anchorage, Alaska
Building Community...one story at a time.
Season 7 // 2015-2016

Arctic Entries is excited to announce the schedule for our seventh season. We are looking for stories and storytellers, so don't be shy. You can sign up yourself or suggest someone else up as far in advance as you'd like.

There's always a place in your home where people gather and stories are born. The East Coast has stoops. The South has porches. But Alaska? We've got arctic entries. Our Arctic Entries show features true stories born from those moments when we close the door on eight feet of snow or the midnight sun, pull off our rubber boots, and say, You'll never guess what happened!

In the spirit of This American Life, The Moth, and other storytelling events, Arctic Entries brings Alaskans to the stage to share their personal stories: funny, sad and sweet. At every performance, seven people each tell a seven-minute long, true story relating to the shows theme. Local musicians perform a few songs, as well.

Any profits made from Arctic Entries ticket sales go to a non-profit partner selected at the beginning of each season. Log on to our website for more information regarding our season nonprofit partner. Currently, all Arctic Entries events take place at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts at 621 West 6th Ave., Anchorage, AK, inside the Discovery Theatre

Where it all started
Cyrano's Off-Center Playhouse is a nonprofit playhouse in an historic 1915 building in downtown Anchorage. Formed in 1995 by a group of volunteers committed to producing professional, quality works utilizing Alaska talent, Cyrano's continues to operate year round with a different play every month. Wed like to thank Cyrano's Managing Director, Sandy Harper, for responding with an exuberant Yes! to our idea to start Arctic Entries here in February 2010.

Who are we?
Arctic Entries is run by a host of volunteers from the Anchorage community. These committed individuals must really enjoy taking on extra responsibilities
